Service Description
[Start-time for Guests from Inverness = 9am] [Start-time for Guests from the Invergordon Cruise Port = 8:30am] We’d love to invite you to embark on an unforgettable Outlander Experience with us! Come follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters and immerse yourself in the gorgeous beauty and rich history that inspired the beloved books and show. We can't wait to share not just the inspiration, but the in-depth Highland history, culture, traditions, real-life romances, tragic stories, and historic battles that made the series so famous. You'll have your very own 'Dougal Mackenzie' doppelganger-guide to lead the way! Discover the real stories of the Highlanders and clans who fought so bravely for their honour. We'll get you all kilted up in an authentic 18th-century Feileadh Mor or Arisaid, and visit the magical standing stones at Clava Cairns, where a bit of mystic faerie magic is always in the air. This is one of our most popular tours and it does tend to fill up quickly, so we highly recommend booking ahead of time to secure your perfect date! FEATURE ATTRACTIONS (not limited to): ★ Clava Cairns: A sacred, 4,000-year-old resting place where you can see the real standing stones. ★ Cawdor Castle (May-September): A stunning example of authentic Highland architecture that perfectly captures the essence of the series. ★ Clootie Well: A mystical, sacred site where you can dip a cloth in the holy well and tie it to a tree for wishes to come true. ★ Beauly (Recommended for Inverness guests): The historic home of Jamie Fraser’s ancestors, featuring a lovely 13th-century priory, local shops, and a chance to say hello to a famous Highland cow named Jamie Fraser at a friendly family farm! ★ Inverness (Recommended for cruise ship guests): The charming city where Claire and Frank enjoyed their second honeymoon, filled with a vibrant high street and local shops. ★ Loch Ness: The beautiful home of our beloved Nessie and Claire's water horse. ★ Culloden Battlefield: A touching opportunity to walk the grounds and honour the fallen heroes of the 1746 battle. ★ Leanach Cottage: The iconic 18th century thatched building on the grounds of Culloden Battlefield. ★ Culloden Exhibit Centre: A wonderful optional visitor centre to deepen your journey (admission fee separate). We are more than happy to tailor the itinerary to your preference as long as it fits within the tour route and duration, so please feel free to reach out to discuss what works best for you.
