He has a wealth of knowledge in the local area as well as the Battle itself. You will be accompanied onto the field of Culloden with an expert on the 18th Century Highlands and Clan Life. You will walk amongst fallen heroes and possible ancestors at the famous Culloden Battlefield. Get acquainted with interesting stories of Highland Culture, Tartans, Kilts, Folklore and more. Visit a world-renowned castle on the shores of Loch Ness to sampling Whisky with a dram or two in the Black Isle's last remaining distillery. Experience local life at a farm with Heilan Coos (Hairy Highland Cow) and other lovable animals. Taste local food in a quaint charming village. Possibly take part in an ancient practice belief in the power of nature spirits for wellness and wishes to come true. This is our Local tour which is likely to sell out. Book ahead of time to secure your tour date. MAIN ATTRACTIONS: ★ Urquhart Castle (admission fee included): From the Early Middle Ages that stood the test of time. ★ Loch Ness: Home to the legendary Loch Ness Monster.. our beloved Nessie. ★ Culloden Battlefield: Walk amongst fallen heroes of the 1746 battle. ★ Culloden Exhibit Centre (requires admission fee at your discretion) ★ Clava Cairns: Explore a sacred 4,000 year old resting place. ★ Glen Ord Singleton Distillery (tasting fee at your discretion): The only single malt distillery on the Black Isle. OTHER ATTRACTIONS (Guests from Inverness): ★ Beauly: A quaint village with local places to eat and medieval places to see. ★ Robertson's Farm Shop: Mingle with Locals and Farm animals. OTHER ATTRACTIONS (Guests from Cruise Port): ★ Inverness: The Capital of the Highlands and the Northernmost City in the UK. It's High Street is a bustling tourist hub with local vibes, lined with various shops and restaurants. ALTERNATIVE ATTRACTIONS (if time permits): ★ Clootie Well ★ Inverness Castle You are welcome to adjust the itinerary to some extent, as long as it is within the planned tour route and duration.
